S136 mold steel belongs to the Swedish imports of senior plastic mold steel, the use of Sweden UDDHT steel plant unique by the furnace refining (VD) and electroslag remelting refining (ESR) technology to create a pure and fine organization and excellent corrosion resistance, polishing properties and good wear resistance, machining properties and excellent dimensional stability when hardened and so on. It is widely used in high polish and high requirements of the internal mold parts, high corrosion resistance of plastic mold, production, medical, food industry and other products.

The origin into the S136 mold steel has been imitated by various countries, especially in the domestic. S136 mold steel grades and manufacturers are very many. The difference in price and quality between the brand and brand lets the mold manufacturers talk about steel. Various agents bloom. In response to this situation, Desson mold steel has changed the original procurement mode of imported materials, and the company has applied for special steel import and export rights, directly from foreign secondary wholesalers or manufacturers to import, which not only ensures the reliability of the source of imported materials, but also broadens the export channels of domestic mold steel materials. When Desson was established, all the imported materials are self-supplied. Although the cost has increased, but to ensure that the material import path is clear, can provide customs information and import and export approvals at any time for downstream customers to read.

S136 mold steel belongs to stainless steel concept mold steel, which is to adapt to the rapid development of plastic mold industry and the development and continuous expansion of stainless series mold steel. S136 series mold steel can solve most of the injection mold known problems, such as mold rust after the surface needs repeated polishing, re-drilling cooling water channel, parts rust together, etc. By using TASI’s S136 series mold steel alone or in combination, we can create high quality molds for different applications and minimize the occurrence of these problems.

Origin imported S136 series mold steel is with excellent corrosion resistance plastic mold steel, not only has good production processing characteristics and advantages, and the use of S136 mold steel manufacturing mold after long time, mold cavity surface still maintain the original smooth state. Mold in a humid environment when operating or storage, do not need special protection. The mold will not corrode because of the influence of cooling water, and the selection of the right S136 mold steel can greatly increase the service life of the mold. The S136 series of mould steel currently imported by Desson Mould Steel has the following 4 specifications:

S136 ESR Mould Steel;

S136H ESR Mould Steel;

S136 SUPREME ESR Mould Steel;

S136H SUPREME ESR Mould Steel;

Corrosion-resistant strain: For the use of corrosive PVC acetates ( ACETATESO ) and other injection molding materials or mold must be in a wet environment and storage, S136 can resist the corrosion of water vapor, weak organic acids, nitrates, carbonates, etc. The use of S136 mold steel made of mold, even in a wet environment, or the normal state of the use of corrosive plastic materials, will not rust or contamination. If it is tempered at 250℃ and then polished to a mirror finish, it can especially show excellent corrosion resistance.

Abrasion resistance: The use of injection molding materials with high abrasion (including injection molding mold) or the requirement for a long working time of the mold, such as electronic parts, rounded meals, utensils, etc.

High glossy surface: Production of optical products such as cameras, sunglasses, chemical instruments, syringes, analytical instruments and plastic products.

Treatment and processing:

Polishing: Hardened and tempered S136 mold steel has excellent polishability, but polishing techniques are different from other plastic mold steel materials. The main operating principle is the need to take more than one course sequence in fine grinding and polishing. Do not polish on a very rough surface. When the last polishing process left by the scratch is removed, we should immediately stop to continue polishing.

Welding: Usually tool steel should avoid welding as much as possible, because it is easy to crack. If you do a good job of preparation before welding, such as preheating in the welding area, it is easier to succeed, and it must be taken immediately after welding stress relief and tempering.

Annealing: Heating to 780℃ in protected condition, then cooling to 650℃ in the furnace at 10℃ per hour, followed by air cooling.

Hardening: Preheating temperature: 600~850℃; Quenching temperature: 980~1050℃.

Quenching medium: oil, isothermal quenching in a salt bath furnace at 200~550℃, then cooling in air

Stress relief: After rough machining, it must be heated to 650℃, uniformly heated for 2 hours, slowly cooled to 500℃, and then cooled in air.

Grinding: The correct grinding technique avoids cracks and increases the life of the tool. If the material is ground at low temperatures and tempered, it becomes sensitive during grinding and only soft and open-grained grinding wheels can be used, and a good coolant must be available.

Photo-etching: S136 has a very uniform organization, containing very few impurities, very suitable for photo-etching, because the imported S136 mold steel has excellent corrosion resistance, so we must use a special photo-etching process. This feature is generally photo-etching factories and masters are more familiar with.
