NAK80 mould steel is iron added nickel Ni, aluminum Al, copper Cu (German Kupfer) special steel, by the Taikin element prefix named NAK. NAK80 was born in 1980, by the birth of the year named NAK80. Desson mold steel Co. NAK series as pre-hardened 40HRC level plastic mold steel in Japan is also the first sales.
NAK80 plastic mold steel by adding sulfur to the steel has good machinability, mirror processing and electrical discharge machining performance, and has excellent weldability. NAK80 in the weld area hardness first drop, after welding after 500℃ x 5 hours of aging treatment and air cooling, its hardness and heat-affected zone hardness and the hardness of the base material with the same hardness.
Desson mold steel imported from Japan Cosmos NAK80 mold steel by: after gas nitrocarburizing, its surface hardness of 750HV can make your mold or workpiece with a long service life. Cosmos NAK80 plastic mold steel because of special melting technology production, with high purity, high stability and excellent processing performance, it is not only easy to weld, and uniform hardness, good polishability, excellent finish, after the electrical discharge processing for grinding processing is very easy, more suitable for surface nibbling and other excellent characteristics. In addition, Cosmos NAK80 is a pre-hardened plastic mold steel, without any heat treatment as good polishability and etching performance. Because NAK80 mold steel contains sulfur, so in general Cosmos NAK80 plastic mold steel shall not directly do EDM skin pattern. NAK80 material
is NAK55 mold steel (mirror polishing, electrical discharge processing, toughness) improved material, in addition to all the characteristics of NAK55, but also has a good mirror polishing performance and exquisite beautiful surface electrical discharge processing conditions. It can replace the pear skin etching. In the use of NAK80 mold steel, we should pay more attention to the transparency of the product and mirror polishing sex.
Both the outer and inner sides of the mold are subjected to high loads, so during repeated molding, the table surface is prone to wear and deformation and wear of the molding surface. The NAK80 steel introduced by Tokumatsu Steel is a plastic mold steel pre-hardened to 40HRC, which has excellent wear resistance and is most suitable for mass production of injection molds. In addition, because NAK80 is an age-hardened steel, the hardness is uniform from the surface to the center, so it is easy to be machined even though the hardness is as high as 40HRC level, which makes the ultimate hardness of pre-hardened steel and easy to be machined to achieve a perfect balance.
The NAK80 mould steel distributed by Desson Mould Steel is easier to cut, making fine processing a reality. The melted resin material reflects the shape of the mold forming surface like a mirror. Therefore, plastic product molding, where performance and beauty are important, requires high-precision and high-quality molds with fine processing.
NAK80 mold steel has excellent machinability and can be used for fine mould cutting. As a precision plastic mold steel, the NAK80 mold steel distributed by Desson Mould Steel is widely supported by users.
NAK80 mould steel is a pre-hardened steel that is easy to use and can be directly processed for mould cutting. There is no need to worry about the dimensional change and deformation caused by heat treatment, which can greatly reduce the mold manufacturing time.
In order to give plastic molded products a brilliant luster and a sense of beauty and transparency, mirror polishing of the mold is required, and a smooth surface of the molded products can bring functional beauty such as a comfortable touch and less adherence to dust and dirt. Near the final stage of the mold making process, the grinding process, which is mostly done by hand work, requires mold steel with stable mirror finish. NAK80 mold steel with high purity is very easy to grind and less problematic, so it is a plastic mold steel that has many repeat customers.
In the trial stage, plastic mold has design changes and mold modifications in many cases, inevitably using overlay welding. In addition, the application of beautiful and fine processing of the mold will be in the repeated forming process of wear and defects, sometimes also need to be welded to repair. NAK80 mold steel after welding through aging treatment, can get uniform hardness, so do not worry about welding marks and etching uneven, and then grind the mirror surface can also be recovered.
It is an indispensable element in plastic products as it brings texture and expression to the mold surface decoration process, which not only shows the beauty and high quality of the appearance, but also has the effect of improving the touch and prolonging the life of the product. NAK80 mold steel with high purity and uniform organization is more suitable for the following etching methods :
▪ Surface treatment method of etching patterns on metal by chemicals;
▪ Processing to give pattern and bump (reversed pattern on the mold);
The NAK80 plastic mold steel distributed by Desson Mould Steel is widely used in plastic molds for transparent products, molds for optical electronic products, electro-etching molds. It requires good surface finish, long-term production of high hardness precision molds, mirror polishing molds, TV filter plates, cosmetic boxes, moving mold inserts and other mold steel.
Processing:
Welding: When using propane gas, natural gas spray burn for preheating after and post-patching heat treatment, it is appropriate to implement full heating for the sake of preventing cracking. When overlay welding or in-use welding repair cracks, often the welding layer is thicker, depending on the amount of overlay welding, there is even a slight sacrifice of size change, but also immediately after the overlay welding stress relief ( 870℃ ) and aging treatment ( 500-520℃ ).
Gas nitrocarburizing: nitrocarburizing temperature 520℃ nitrocarburizing time 5h, surface hardness up to 750HV after nitrocarburizing.
Conventional spheroid annealing: annealing temperature 780-810℃, with a cooling rate of 25 ℃ / hour with the furnace slowly down to ≤ 650℃ out of the furnace air cooling. The T-art heat treatment time up to 20 hours or more, after annealing the carbide particles are not uniform, will affect the subsequent cold processing and the final quenching and tempering organization and performance.
Isothermal spheroidizing annealing: annealing temperature 780-810℃, fast cooling to 690-720℃, etc. then out of the furnace air cooling. The process saves heat treatment time (the whole process takes 12-18 hours), and the carbide in the treated tissue is fine and uniform.
Repeated spheroid annealing: the first time heated to 810℃ and cooled to 650℃, then heated to 790℃ and cooled to ≤ 650℃ out of the furnace air cooling. Although the process can save some time, but the process is relatively cumbersome.
Quenching/tempering/cold treatment: Quenching temperature 830-860℃, oil cooling. Tempering temperature 170-190℃. Cold treatment temperature 50~ -78℃.
In case of preheating or heating with gas heater, the whole piece should be heated at the same time to avoid breakage. In case of repair due to welding or use or simultaneous rupture, the solder is often more, and in this case, even if there is a slight change in size, the piece must be stress relieved (870°C) and age-hardened at 500-520°C immediately after welding.
